Amanda Feilding: Queen of Consciousness and Psychedelics

I am talking here with the pioneer researcher and policy reformer, Amanda Feilding. We discuss the latest medical research on the use of psychedelic drugs for improving health and cognition.

In this podcast I have an amazing chat with Amanda Feilding, Countess of Wemyss and March. Amanda is a drug researcher and leader of scientific research in the area of psychedelic drugs and an active lobbyist for changes in drug policy around the world.  Amanda is founder of the Beckley Foundation, a charity supporting research into the effects of psychoactive substances on the brain and cognition.

In this conversation we talk about where drug policy is now internationally and what needs to change given the new findings in science.  These substances are helping people to become more caring, more compassionate and have a marked effect on improving wellness generally and creativity. New studies show the effects they have relieving mental illnesses including depression and anxiety.

Susie shares her own health story about using CBD oil and medical marijuana to help recover from brain cancer. They talk about the issues of currently using CBD in conventional hospitals and a bright future for changes in drug policy and reclassification of such drugs that can help the individual and society as a whole.
