I had brain cancer 7 years ago and was given 3 wee

I had brain cancer 7 years ago and was given 3 weeks to live. It was bad. I had an NDE, left my body, took a trip around the other side of life, saw insane things about what happens when the body dies, and I changed forever, came back to my body with a flash of light, fully healed. The head of oncology at Cambridge University said he´d never seen this kind of instant healing before, with no scar tissue showing on the brain scan. He said it looked like a miracle, but they are not in the business of miracles. I smiled at him and said, ´That’s funny because that is exactly my business. Making miracles.´

When I left the hospital, I went straight to my house in Ibiza, which I had been away from all year. The first night back in my home after months of hospital treatment, I arrived at the house to find it on fire. An electrical fault had sparked a house fire that took out all my belongings - all possessions - in one night. I was homeless. That was a journey and a half to make it back to a new life.

I am grateful for Team Susie, a bunch of rock star friends, who helped me back on my feet after all had gone on. It was a huge year, 2018.

I have written a book about this story, what I learnt on the other side, and what it felt like to go through this dark night of the soul after recovering from brain cancer. Writing this now, I cannot believe I made it through all of the twists and turns of the story. I am grateful to still be here and grateful for all the support I have had from family and friends along the way. It really has been one corker of a journey. 2026 - let’s have you. For fun, adventure, love, joy, dancing, friends and great stories. Thanks to everyone who has been with me on this ride of life, living life to the full.
